Newark Academy is seeking a head coach for our girls' varsity volleyball team for the 2026-2027 school year. Position Description: Newark Academy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must possess a proven track record of respectful leadership and strong communication skills with assistant coaches, players and families. Candidates must be committed to building a positive, inclusive culture within the team. Candidates should be driven, energetic, organized and motivated. Qualifications: - coaching the team primarily during the fall season (mid August - early November, as well as pre-season preparations) - helping players grow as student-athletes by teaching sport-specific skills and ensuring all players model good sportsmanship - managing assistant and JV coaches within the volleyball program - distributing and collecting all equipment and uniforms - communicating with players and parents clearly and effectively - partnering with the Athletic Department to create the team’s schedule and manage the budget of the upper school programs - working with the Sports Information Director to share information about the program with the broa...
