Job Posting Title: Building Attendant Hiring Department: Marine Science Institute Position Open To: All Applicants Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt from FLSA Earliest Start Date: May 31, 2026 Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until May 31, 2027 Location: PORT ARANSAS, TX Job Details: General Notes This position will serve as custodial at the Marine Science Institute at The University of Texas. This position is located in Port Aransas, Texas. This will be an annual contract that will be renewed based on performance and funding. The purpose of this position is to maintain the buildings and facilities of the Marine Science Institute. Responsibilities: - Report all work orders as needed, will be cross-trained in learning all buildings. - Collect trash, glass and recyclables on a daily basis. - Clean and maintain buildings, which include offices, labs and common areas. - Will perform other related functions as assigned. - Participate in the preparation of auditorium and/or other meeting areas for public programs, and for student/faculty functions.
