Job description
Responsible for applying mechanical engineering principles in the new product development, product sustaining, and validation processes of manufactured commercial access system equipment from concept ideation, design, prototype, testing, and commissioning to final production. Participate in a cross-functional Team that owns the action plan to deliver products. - Full product line design responsibility. - Lead and participate in ideation workshops, design reviews, and other cross-functional team workshops intended to develop concept, define design priorities, conduct DFMEA, and determine design performance objectives or goals. - Develop new mechanical systems and components utilizing parametric 3D CAD software. - Develop calculation and analysis of manufactured commercial access system equipment designs to comply to specific requirements, as defined by codes and standards. - Collaborate with internal and external laboratories to develop and implement test procedures and test equipment to qualify purchased systems and components and validate new and existing designs to specified requirements and performance goals. - Benchmark existing products through a combination of research, analy...
