Promotes medical equipment safety for WVUHS by performing maintenance and repairs and providing instruction and assistance to hospital staff for general patient care, diagnostic, and certain life support equipment. Assists hospital in reaching financial goals through effective equipment management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology or equivalent field AND Two (2) years of experience with repairs and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, or electrical assemblies. OR: Completion of a U.S. DoD Biomedical Equipment Maintenance Technician program AND Two (2) years of experience with repairs and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, or electrical assemblies.
