The Facilities Groundskeeper/Laborer will be responsible for the upkeep and appearance of outdoor areas at the KwaTaqNuk property. May use all gardening tools, rakes, and hand tools. Will not use power equipment. The work is labor- intensive and requires the use of a variety of hand tools. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Answer radio calls from staff when contacted. A radio will always be required to be on this person during shift. Ensure compliance with established rules and regulations. Daily clean parking lot of all trash and debris. Clean all flower beds in spring and fall. Planting of all flowers and some trees as needed. Keep the main entrance free of litter & debris, including bird droppings on all surfaces. Clean outside garbage cans, using odor spray and reline with clean trash bags. Take all garbage outside and place in compactor. Snow removal with hand tools.
