Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for our Emergency Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will: - Evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the patient’s medications. - Follow the patient’s progress to determine the effects of the patient’s medications on his or her health. - Consult with the patient’s physicians and other health care providers in selecting the medication therapy that best meets the patient’s needs and contributes effectively to the overall therapy goals. - Review and verify physician orders for appropriateness - Participate in Patient care rounds - Counsel and educate patients about their medications. - Serve as a preceptor for Pharmacy resident and students - Educate pharmacists, nurses and physicians...
