Export Logistics Coordinator

Job description

General Purpose: Support and/or plan modes of transportation for export orders working with manufacturing plants and third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses to ensure timely movement of product. Provide daily proactive communication of carrier schedule changes and/or cost impacts with recommendations for resolution. Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Discern optimal carrier selection based on customer requirements, cost, and transit - Ensure all ocean and drayage carrier rates are contracted with carriers prior to bookings - Schedule bookings with ocean/drayage providers that meet customer requested delivery dates and transit times while minimizing transportation costs - Document ocean booking details in appropriate system for internal visibility while also maintaining a comprehensive tracker of all active shipments - Oversee appointment schedules between drayage providers, plants, and 3PL to ensure timely pick-ups - Enter ocean freight accruals in appropriate system and audit invoices for accurate transportation billing and payment - Confirm ocean export shipments sail (complete) from US ports - Work closely with export specialists to mitigate any ocean carrier documentation delays...
