Flight Test Aviation Safety Official (Lead or Senior) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) Flight Test Safety Engineering team is seeking an Flight Test Aviation Safety Official to join our team in North Charleston, SC . The individual will be involved in primarily commercial and commercial derivative test programs. However, the team may also support military, vertical lift, and unmanned aircraft flight test to perform operational and safety engineering tasks. The individual must have a strong understanding of flight test, aircraft operations, risk identification, and mitigation. This person should be able to provide independent oversight to programs to validate their risk assessment and mitigating actions. In addition, this person must be able to investigate non-normal incidents and determine if corrective actions are required to immediately contain threat and further mitigate risk. This individual will be joining a team of safety engineers and Aviation Safety Officers who collaborate in a very dynamic, fast-paced development, and test environment to manage operational safety risk and promote mishap prevention.
