Job Description The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an opening for an Investigative Analyst for its Hate Crimes Unit in the Trial Division. In this role, the Analyst will help Hate Crimes ADAs build and enhance complex hate crime cases and investigations, and will assist with large-scale data collection, organization, and analysis. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: In addition to the Minimum Qualification Requirements, all candidates must possess the following: *Master’s degree can be substituted for years of experience. * - Assist ADAs in developing long-term investigations into criminal bias-motivated activity. - Create PowerPoints, graphs, diagrams, spreadsheets, charts, maps, video compilations, and other visual aids for investigative use, grand jury proceedings, and trial presentations on hate crime cases. - Testify in grand jury proceedings, hearings, and trials by describing analytical processes and responding to cross-examination about such processes. - Collect and analyze data relevant to hate crime investigations and cases, including but not limited to surveillance video, statements captured on body-worn camera, cell phone data, phone...
