Dent Hyg Faculty PT Hourly Position Summary: The responsibilities of the successful candidate for the Dental Hygiene Faculty include didactic, laboratory and clinical teaching. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Didactic course preparation, presentation, development, course management, grading and evaluation - Participate and support clinic or pre-clinic assignments - Pursue excellence in teaching using variety in techniques of computers, multi-media and in lectures/laboratories - Stay current with learning resources, textbooks, dental hygiene clinical equipment/supplies, technology and software required by the dental hygiene program - Student mentoring, counseling and advisement for success and retention - Maintain accurate and updated student records - Maintain regular office hours to assist students and support the dental hygiene program - Support students with attendance at orientations, program activities, and professional conventions - Write letters of recommendation, employment and continuing education to support the students - Participate in faculty orientation and faculty development programs - Attend and support faculty/department meetings - Accept and participate i...
