Position Title: Assistant Women's Basketball Coach Appointment Type: Contract Job Description: The Iowa State University Athletics Department has an opening for an entry-level Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach to join a program competing at the highest level of Division I basketball. This role supports the head coach in all aspects of a nationally competitive program and plays a key part in developing student‑athletes who excel on the court, in the classroom, and in the community. This coach will work closely with the point guard position group. Examples of what you'll do: Candidates should bring a high basketball IQ with strong knowledge of offensive and defensive systems, the point guard position, player development, strategic acumen, and in‑game adjustments. The role requires exceptional communication and motivational ability to inspire student‑athletes, work collaboratively with staff, and convey a clear program vision.
