Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the department Supervisor with the overall output, quality, condition and capability of their assigned department, including receiving, picking, packing, storage and shipping of products to meet the customer needs. Duties: - Must be able to perform all duties of a Warehouse Associate II and Material Handler I. - Assist Warehouse Associates in prioritizing work. - Assign Warehouse Associates to areas as needed to meet warehouse demands. - Assist with interviewing, hiring and training employees. - Assist with disciplining employees. - Effectively use KPI’s and other means to drive continuous improvement to increase quality, efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization. - Address employee complaints and resolve problems. - Collaborate with Customer Service on issues and special projects. - Assist the Warehouse Supervisor to manage personnel issues including time off requests and timecard approval. - Understand all work functions in area of expertise and maintain sufficient knowledge to serve as back-up to the department Supervisor. - Work with Human Resources for staffing needs. - Perform weekly forklift inspections. - Assist w...
