Position Summary The Business Unit Manager (BUM) is responsible for the direction and coordination of all manufacturing activities for one or more of the plant manufacturing units or a product Line. Key objectives of the BUM include producing scheduled output, achieving the current profit plan and achieving quality standards. To do so, the BUM must develop and maintain an employee relations environment which assures the full utilization and development of both exempt and hourly employees. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Executes production schedule through production supervisors and group leaders emphasizing quality, assuring compliance is met with CGMP’s and evaluates the optimal use of personnel, resources and equipment. - Develops and implements long range plans to improve performance in compliance, quality, cost, customer service, safety and employee well-being. - Prepares and implements annual financial and capital expenditure plans.
