Job Description Overview: We are seeking a Senior Resident Engineer for a National Road scheme situated approximately 10km west of Dundalk, Co. Louth, from Summer 2026 for approximately 14 months. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in roads/transport infrastructure. The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, willing to take responsibility and comfortable in leading a site team. Your role: The role will involve site-based supervision, contract administration, stakeholder and client liaison, reporting, monitoring and inspection of construction activities; in tandem with a full-time Resident Engineer and a Clerk of Works/Inspector. About you: - Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering. - Chartered Engineer or equivalent (desirable but not mandatory). - Computer literate and with experience of relevant software (AutoCAD or similar) and Microsoft Office programmes. - Experience in administering contracts using the Public Works form of contracts; including processing of Valuations, and assessment of Claims. - Experience in supervising and inspecting the construction of roadworks including pavement, drainage, structures, ducting, signage, lighti...
