Job description

The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North West Region. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join the OCC Internet Child Abuse Team (ICAT) to lead the team in the investigation of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation offences committed by perpetrators in the North-West area, ensuring children within the region are safeguarded and offenders are successfully prosecuted. The NWROCU fights to keep communities across the North West safe from serious and organised crime, and this team are dedicated to upholding this mission. The team are passionate about protecting the most vulnerable from harm and are relentless in their approach. The NWROCU leads the policing response across the region posed by serious and organised crime in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and North Wales. The NWROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the North West region to deliver the Government’s serious and organised Crime strategy and to protect communities from harm.
