Description The Department of Bioethics (DoB) at the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine invites applications for the position of Clinical Ethicist in the Center for Biomedical Ethics (CBME) at The MetroHealth System (MHS) and Instructor (non-tenure track) in the DoB at CWRU. Responsibilities and Duties: This position will be based in the CBME at MHS and be fully funded by MHS. The successful candidate’s efforts will be dedicated to clinical ethics consultation, clinical education, community outreach/advocacy, and related scholarship. There will be some opportunities for participation in the CWRU DoB, which has teaching programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and medical school levels. ● Serve as a clinical ethics consultant, assist with consult review and quality control, and help train junior clinical ethicists ● Contribute to CBME educational, research, scholarship, and outreach/advocacy programs ● Develop and deliver clinical bioethics educational, scholarship, and outreach/advocacy programs ● Attend and participate in relevant CBME and MHS meetings and assist with various administrative tasks MHS is Cuyahoga County’s safety-net hospital system, serving m...
