ROLE : FOX 5 San Diego/KUSI News duopoly is seeking a dynamic Weather Anchor for FOX 5’s 5.5-hour long weekday morning news. Successful candidate is digitally savvy, excels in ad-libbing and storytelling to drive engagement with viewers across multiple platforms. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Accurate and creative producing and reporting of daily weather and traffic forecasts to support multiple live hits – using all resources available - Anchors, produces and contributes content to digital platforms including station’s CTV streaming app, website and social media account - Collaborates with producers, assignment desk, digital team to create timely and engaging reports across all platforms - Must be able to ad-lib live breaking news with a strong ability to interact with anchors in studio - Must be able to report live in the field and turn a pkg as needed - Stays informed on current news and community events, digital and social trends to improve quality of content and promote station brand - Develops community contacts and a network of news sources - Maintain strong, professional social media presence to promote station brand - Adhere to all company policies to uphold highest level of journal...
