Job description

This is a full-time, academic year position reporting to the Dean of Health Sciences and assumes Nursing programmatic instructional activities for the needs and demands of the DSCC Nursing Department with official workstation may change from campus and center dependent upon needs and demands of the Nursing Department. Duties include working with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing and Nursing Faculty for coordination of student classroom and clinical field experiences. ( Two positions, one is evenings ). Duties and Responsibilities: - To devote an equivalent of 37.5 hours of work per week. - Responsible for 30 Teaching Load Equivalency (TLE) per academic year. - Create a positive environment for learning. - Participate in development of policies and standards for the Department of Nursing. - Conduct classroom and lab (clinical and campus) instruction. - Monitor, grade, and evaluate students’ progress. - Become certified in and fully use the course management system for all classes. - Utilize technology in classroom and lab instruction. - Participate in professional and committee activities including serving on Nursing Department committees as assigned by the Dean...
