The Opportunity: This is a full-time 12-month fixed-term opportunity and can be based in Sydney or remote. We’re looking for a highly analytical and technically skilled Remote Sensing Scientist with strong experience in geospatial data and applied remote sensing workflows. You’ll apply advanced remote sensing science to support the measurement, monitoring, and compliance of carbon farming projects, while developing scalable, robust, and auditable geospatial products and tools. About the Role: - Conduct research and development to advance remote sensing applications for forests and structurally diverse vegetation - Process and analyse large, complex datasets from satellite, aerial, UAV, and LiDAR sources to assess vegetation condition and forest structure - Develop and maintain remote sensing tools, analytical workflows, and machine learning outputs for carbon project mapping and monitoring - Integrate field-based data with remote sensing products for validation, modelling, and co-registratio...
