International Affairs is one of the world’s leading international relations journals, publishing scholarship of the highest quality for both academic and practitioner audiences. The journal appears six times a year and is published by Oxford University Press on behalf of Chatham House. International Affairs is seeking an experienced and well‑connected scholar to serve as Book Reviews Editor on a consultancy basis. The postholder will be responsible for overseeing the journal’s book reviews section, including the selection of titles for review and the commissioning and approval of reviewers. The journal publishes approximately 120 book reviews per year (around 20 per issue). The Book Reviews Editor is an honorary position that will join the International Affairs Editorial Board and will have responsibility for ensuring the book review section reflects the breadth and quality of the journal. This consultancy will suit an individual holding an academic post within a relevant university department.
