Nemours is seeking a Public Security Officer to join our team in Wilmington, DE. Responsibilities: Qualifications: - Provide protection for patients, visitors, and associates by maintaining peace and order at Nemours Children’s Hospital – Delaware (NCH-D). - Prevention, detection, investigation and reporting of unlawful and unsafe activities within the Hospital and contiguous properties and buildings Investigation includes interviewing victims, witnesses and suspects; collecting, reviewing, and preserving evidence and conducting searches and surveillance. - Application of non-violent verbal intervention and de-escalation skills to mitigate disruptive behavior and dangerous activity. - Provide escort of unauthorized individuals from the campus and prevent patient elopement and abduction. - Conduct fire, evacuation, and miscellaneous emergency management drills as require by the State of Delaware, the Joint Commission and the Centers for Medic are and Medicaid Services. - Investigate violations of Nemours Standards of Behavior as directed by Nemours Administration, Human Resources, Risk, Legal and Public Safety department leadership. - Provide access control into the Hospital and spe...
