Job Description Overview: We are seeking a Nuclear Safety Engineer Energy to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN. Your role: Stops work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions potentially affecting personnel safety or environmental risk. Supports processing and project activities as matrixed technical support staff providing the Operations Manager with Safety Analysis (SA) expertise and counsel on those activities. Supports the Safety Analysis Lead in the implementation of the SA Program, including development of related training materials. Supports the Safety Analysis Lead in ensuring SA related documents and analysis are compliant with 10 CFR 830 Subpart B and appropriate DOE command media and are technically accurate and defensible. Performs assessments of the SA and Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) Programs and their implementation as directed and participates in critiques/investigations involving SA related issues, as requested. Implements the USQ Program, including development of related training materials.
