Description The Division of Microbiology, Tulane National Biomedical Research Center, Tulane University School of Medicine, Covington, LA invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Associate Professor. Salary will be commensurate with the applicant's qualifications and experience. Primary responsibilities of the position include: 1) developing an independent research program in non-human primate research and novel approach methodologies related to human and animal health. 2) collaborating with other investigators on the design, implementation and interpretation of diverse biomedical research projects involving infectious diseases and diseases associated with immune responses to pathogens (experience in metabolism research preferred), and to use this knowledge to develop tailored preventive and therapeutic strategies. 3) training of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and residents. The relative emphasis on each of these components is negotiable depending on the applicant's interest and expertise.
