Job description

Take the lead in preparing the next generation of professional drivers. As the Lead CDL Instructor at North Idaho College’s Workforce Training Center, you’ll deliver hands-on and classroom instruction for the Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) Class A program - guiding students from orientation through behind-the-wheel training and on to successful state testing. You’ll coordinate daily training activities, evaluate student progress, and ensure every graduate is confident, capable, and road-ready. Beyond instruction, you’ll help shape and grow the program. You’ll develop schedules, training routes, and course materials; maintain equipment and coordinate repairs; and partner with local employers and community organizations to expand training opportunities. You’ll also support program operations - overseeing records, compliance with state and federal regulations, and mentoring part-time instructors to maintain a high-quality learning experience.
