POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a Finishing Assistant to support the preparation and finishing of custom cabinetry and millwork. This is a great opportunity for someone detail-oriented and eager to learn, with on-the-job training and growth opportunities available. WORKING CONDITIONS: Full-time, Monday–Friday (7:30am–5:00pm) Shop environment (noise, dust, and equipment, PPE required) Benefits available after probation: Wage: $20–$25/hour, flexible based on experience JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Surface Preparation: Sand, prepare,clean, and inspect raw wood components to prepare them for finishing. Staining & Sealing: Apply stains, sealers, and other treatments to enhance wood grain and match design specifications. Wood Repair: Identify and repair imperfections such as knots, cracks, and dents using fillers, putty, and other techniques.
