Classification Title: Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Service Technician 1 or 2 (CARE) – Surgery Classification Minimum Requirements: Large Animal Service Veterinary Technician 1: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or one year of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital. Large Animal Service Veterinary Technician 2: High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital; and certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician.
