Department: 36101 Advocate Lutheran General Hospital - Emergency Department: Pediatric Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 7p-7a - rotating holidays and every other weekend. Pay Range: $21.85 - $32.80 Major Responsibilities: - Competence in carrying out technical, direct patient care skills to assist Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care (CC) staff RNs and/or physicians. - 1)Exercises clinical competence in skills and follows clinical procedures based on hospital policy. - 2)Assists in setting up and safely operates various equipment (ie. hypothermia blanket, Bair Hugger, EKG machine, cardiac monitor, pulse oximeter, glucometer, scale, etc.) as requested. - 3)Correctly interprets cardiac rhythms/dysrhythmias. - 4)Performs quality control checks for point of care tests, performs point of care testing as assigned. - 5)Perform basic pulse oximetry and incentive spirometry, discontinuance of standby oxygen. - 6)Collects and labels specimens appropriately utilizing techniques as defined by established policy.
