Inventory Planner Department: Supply Chain: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Columbia, Missouri: Description: The Inventory Planner / Buyer is responsible for managing item inventory with a sense of urgency and focus in order to meet or exceed customers’ expectations while keeping the inventory volume of slower-turning / less profitable inventory categories/items lean. The actions of the Inventory Planner / Buyer as it pertains to managing inventory and vendor relations, reducing expenses, and increasing profit margins, are actions vital to our continued growth and profitability. The Inventory Planner / Buyer will provide support to stakeholders via daily tasks and projects and contributions to personal and departmental goals. Personal goal attainment toward employee development and growth within the organization will be crucial.
