Title: Temporary – Supplemental Instruction Leaders, All Campuses (Pool) POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Learning Center Coordinator, Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders are trained in planning and facilitating collaborative and group learning in regularly scheduled study sessions for Nashville State students who are enrolled in targeted courses. SI sessions are scheduled group meetings in which SI Leaders help students in the SI session interact with the material in a more engaging way. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Attends all Supplemental Instruction sessions and course lectures, takes notes and models appropriate academic attitudes and behaviors. Creates lesson plans for Supplemental Instruction sessions and prepares all materials Submits lesson plans and materials prior to scheduled SI sessions for approval and feedback. Submits attendance records, time sheets, and other paperwork to SI Coordinator timely. Attends staff meetings and training sessions to learn new Supplemental Instruction strategies.
