Department: Mathematics & Statistics / 0-1249-000 College: College of Arts & Sciences Salary Plan: Temporary: Hiring Salary: $55,000/year: Position Summary: The Department of Mathematics & Statistics of the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 12-month, full-time, Postdoctoral Scholar position to begin August 7, 2026. This position carries a teaching load of three courses per year. Information for Applicants: The contract is renewable for up to 1 additional years dependent upon available funding and satisfactory performance in both research and teaching. Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Mathematics or closely related field is required. The degree must be conferred by the appointment start date. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who have received their Ph.D. within the last three years and whose research interests are in algebraic coding theory, quantum error-correction, quantum computing, or a related area.
