SYSTEM OPERATIONS TRAINER

Job description

Position Summary Description Responsible for the development and maintenance of training programs associated with electric power system operations to assure operations personnel receive the training necessary to assure reliable system operation in accordance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and other applicable standards and regulations. Assures ongoing assessment of the competencies, skills and knowledge requirements associated with the operational positions in System Operations and arranges applicable training based upon assessed employee group and individual needs. Assures operations personnel receive that training which is required by NERC Standards, and other applicable regulatory entities and is accountable for auditable compliance. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Technology or related area. Five (5) years of experience in steam / electric power production, high voltage transmission operation or power system operations. Experience as an instructor or trainer.
