Housing Assistant

Job description

The Housing Assistant supports the Housing team in their operations throughout the year. This administrative position involves a variety of tasks, including forward-facing communications, file management, technology operation, physical movement, and note-taking. This position does not maintain a regular schedule but is called upon when support is needed. A large portion of this role is to assist with the Student Storage program facilitated by Housing at Williams College on a temporary, as-needed basis. The Student Storage program is a seasonal program offered to Williams College students to store their items while they are away from campus for periods of time, including long breaks and/or studies abroad. Students' items are left in their rooms, and the Housing team works with an off-campus partner to move them to long-term storage. Before the students return to campus, the items are returned to the students' next room. Seasons for these operations occur mostly during business hours in our high-demand times of the year, including but not limited to late January, mid-May - early June, August, and mid-December.
