Job description
The primary role of CDL Driver is to safely and compliantly operate various heavy equipment with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 pounds, including but not limited to roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, liquid vacs, turbo vacs, box trucks, and rack trucks with trailers. CDL Drivers may also be required to perform driving and non-driving duties like responding to environmental spills, manual labor, site cleanup, and hazardous waste transportation. Additional responsibilities can involve loading and unloading equipment, assisting hazmat technicians with pressure washers, confined space entry, shoveling/digging, and vacuuming material. Job Responsibilities: Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects electronically through Geotab & Whip Around, as well as communicate issues with Dispatch & Supervisor Follow all laws regarding traffic rules, speed limits, and safe driving practices when transporting hazardous materials/waste Regularly participate in communication meetings with the team to help drive growth and create a collaborative culture Performing DOT “pre” and “post” trip vehicle inspection reports Assist in onboarding and trainin...
