Job description

Summary of Essential Functions: - Supervises the daily management of specialty operations. Supervises the administration of radiation to patients and ensures radiation safety practices are being adhered to and that TDH standards comply and are in accordance with current regulations within the department. - Works closely with department management and the radiologists to organize and perform technical procedures for area of responsibility. - Responsible for maintaining professional standards of patient care. - Ensures that staff follows the Administrative and Department policies and procedures. - Responsible for developing and maintaining the day-to-day schedule and call schedule. - Flexibility to work odd hours and to take department call as needed. - Assists with the development, interpretation, and application of departmental policies, budgets, and long-range plans. Educational Requirements: - High school graduate or equivalent. - Graduate of an accredited radiology program or equivalent. - Bachelor of Science Degree in Radiology preferred. - Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
