POSITION OVERVIEW: The Area Manager oversees 3–6 bakeries and acts as a multi-unit operational leader responsible for profitability, operational consistency, talent development, and brand standards across their region. This role functions as a field operations strategist and hands-on coach. Area Managers balance data-driven oversight with in-store leadership, ensuring each bakery delivers strong financial performance while maintaining Insomnia’s operational excellence. Success in this role is measured using the same performance lens as district leadership: revenue growth, labor efficiency, COGS control, EBITDA contribution, and operational scorecards. Financial & Operational Ownership: - Analyze weekly performance scorecards and identify improvement opportunities - Drive revenue growth, labor efficiency, and cost control initiatives - Audit inventory, shrink, and yield performance - Lead P&L reviews and margin improvement strategies - Standardize best practices across all bakeries Leadership & Talent Development: - Recruit, develop, and retain strong BOM and ABOM talent - Maintain succession pipeline for future leaders - Conduct coaching sessions, leadership training, and career de...
