Job description
Department Overview The Clinic Radiologic Technologist operates x-ray and related equipment used to take and develop radiographs for the purpose of general medical diagnostic radiology. The employee in this class coordinates the technological procedure done within the medical facility and may perform functions of a medical assistant, or other duties as needed, to ensure the efficient workflow and turnover of outpatient exams. Relief Position – must be available to work at least four (4) days per pay period as determined according to department needs. Imaging: - Provides quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of all equipment. - Technologists will be trained in performing the required orthopedic radiographic examinations. - Positions patient for diagnostic radiology according to department procedures, training, and machine requirements with a high regard for the safety and care of the patient. - Operates radiology equipment, determines and sets exposure factors, sets technique utilizing all relevant factors to ensure accurate and quality images with minimal and acceptable repeat rates. - Uses computer image processing, as needed to select, op...
