Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Hazardous Waste Specialist to support a government contract based in Jacksonville, Florida at Mayport. JOB SUMMARY: Prepares, maintains, and implements operating procedures for environmental risk management. Maintains compliance receiving, classifying, and processing Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste. Maintains 90-day Facility. DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Inspects operations and facilities: Records all EPA/OPSHA violations. Conducts investigations, if necessary. Determines and implements actions needed to comply with regulations and ISO14001 standards. Processes Waste: Identifies classifies, over-packs and prepares waste for pick-up and transportation. Verifies manifest, properly marks assets for shipping, inspects commercial vehicle and verifies driver’s credentials and safety equipment. Identifies, collects, transports, processes, packages and prepares hazardous materials and hazardous waste for storage and disposal in accordance with regulatory and contract requirements.
