Job description
General Summary: A Power Equipment Operator is responsible for the efficient transportation, delivery, and retrieval of merchandise to various locations throughout the distribution center. This role may require standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50lbs and working in a non-climate-controlled environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Loads and unloads merchandise from trailers and departments insuring proper carton count. - Shuttles, retrieves, and delivers pallets to designated areas according to pick lists. - Transport empty pallets to designated areas. - Scans merchandise into locations via the RF Gun. - Insures there is no overhang of merchandise. - Insures there are no broken and/or damaged goods. - Occasional shrink wrap of cartons. - Maintains a clean and safe work environment - Communicates problems/concerns to the Lead and/or Area Manager. - Maintains an accurate power equipment log. - Attentiveness to pedestrian/equipment traffic. - Other duties as assigned. - Must move to other departments based on the needs of the department, facility, and company.
