ROLE PURPOSE: The Group Sales Executive supports the full lifecycle of group and events business—from initial enquiry and contracting through planning, execution, and post‑event follow‑up . The role ensures the optimization of room, meeting space, banqueting, and food & beverage revenues , while delivering consistently high service standards in line with W / Marriott Brand Standards. SCOPE OF POSITION: Sales & Contracting (Group Sales Executive Focus) Event Planning & Operations (Convention Services Coordinator Focus) - Respond to group enquiries from designated geographic markets to maximize room, meeting space, and banqueting revenue. - Manage, negotiate, and convert group room and event business. - Prepare and contract group agreements, ensuring alignment with hotel strategy and operational capabilities. - Conduct site inspections for prospect, tentative, and confirmed group business. - Build and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, corporate clients, organizations, GSOs, Convention Bureaus, and third‑party intermediaries. - Apply negotiation skills and creative selling techniques to close the most beneficial business opportunities. - Strive to meet or exceed ind...
