POSITION SUMMARY: The Recycling Center Maintenance Mechanic – B performs repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment to maximize safe and productive operations. Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repair of, balers, conveyor systems, and compactors. QUALIFICATIONS: Hourly Range: $23.55 - $32.98/hr USD This is a safety sensitive position. - Assist in diagnosing mechanical problems using charts, diagnostic software, technical manuals and expertise. - Perform repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment and rolling stock to maximize safe and productive operations. - Repair or replace hydraulic, mechanical and/or electrical components, such as conveyor belts, electrical motors, gear boxes and bearings. - Communicate with supervisor and/or equipment operators for clarification of issues with equipment. May review preventative techniques with equipment users to minimize future issues. - Complete paperwork associated with repairing equipment, documenting parts usage, and accounting for applied times (work order times vs. time card times). - Perform preventative maintenance according to standard schedules. - Follow all safety policies and procedure...
