Description The Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University seeks a trauma and functional neurosurgeon to expand the department's academic research and clinical program. The successful candidate will be appointed at the Assistant Professor rank in the University Medical Line (UML). We are particularly interested in candidates with a primary clinical emphasis in Trauma and Functional Neurosurgery and has a basic or translational research lab component that studies traumatic brain injury. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Individuals appointed as Assistant Professors will have completed their house staff training and, where appropriate, postdoctoral fellowship training.
