Job description
POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled and semiskilled work at the full-performance level in the mechanical or building trades in connection with the maintenance and repair of state facilities, institutions, and buildings. Work assignments usually require skill in and knowledge of maintenance and repair methods and practices in several building maintenance trades. This facility operates on a 24-hour schedule, some extended or weekend hours may be required. The hours are Monday through Friday 7am-3pm. PAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATION: $44.82 an hour REPONSIBILITIES: - Service and repair heating, ventilation, and air condition (HVAC) units. - Perform scheduled predictive and preventive maintenance tasks. - Connect temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connects control panels to power source. - Install air and water filters in completed installation. - Wrap pipes in insulation and secure in place. - Replace defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches and fuses to repair installed units. - Respond to self and customer generated work requests. - Repairs and replaces walls, floors, steps, doo...
