Job description

Amentum is seeking a Painter to support the Space Force Range contract. Key Responsibilities: - Perform corrosion control on facilities, towers, tanks, miscellaneous sub-systems and critical support equipment using a variety of coating systems and paints - Remove fixtures, electric switchover, etc. for preparation of an exterior remodel - Perform as painter for various construction projects, both interior and exterior - Climb towers and perform rescue climbing, volunteer basis (additional bonus) - Work with Engineer (NACE qualified) to mix specific paints per standard - Maintain corrosion control equipment - Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to exterior and interior surfaces, trimmings, fixtures of building and other structures - Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel in a multi-cultural team-oriented environment Minimum Requirements: - High school or equivalent - Minimum of four (4) years industrial/residential painting experience. - Thorough knowledge and experience of various surface preparation techniques and coating systems applications - Knowledge of personal protective equipment such as fall protection gear, respirator use, and hazards...
