Intern, meoSphere System Modeling (HPC) ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Are you looking for a 6‑months internship? This is an opportunity to be part of the Modeling and Simulation team in an innovative satellite organization. Modern satellite constellations and 5G NTN systems require large‑scale, computationally intensive simulations, making high‑performance computing a critical enabler for realistic and timely analysis. Based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, you will focus on scaling and accelerating a constellation simulator dedicated to 5G NTN and Optical Inter‑Satellite Links. You will collaborate with specialists in simulation, software engineering, and aerospace to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency for projects such as mesosphere and IRIS2. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS: Collaborate with the team on the design and implementation of performance‑critical simulator components, primarily in Rust, with selected components in Python. Identify computational bottlenecks and apply HPC techniques to accelerate large‑scale simulations.
