Title Bakery Service Clerk Pay Grade: Minimum Wage +DOE: Major Department: Bakery: Minor Department: Bakery: Reports to: Bakery Department Manager, Store Manager: Job Summary: The Bakery Team member is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all guests. S/he is responsible for the merchandise in the bakery department, which includes: receiving, stocking, preparing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, rotating, and merchandising the department’s products. Bakery products vary by location and can include breads, pastries, gelato, cakes, and other specialty items. As a team member of Pete’s Fresh Market it is important that Pete’s Four Pillars of Value, Aesthetic, Quality, and Customer Service are always exemplified. Essential Job Responsibilities: - Must have a love & passion for food, with an extensive knowledge of the specific bake items at Pete’s. - Must be able to interpret, understand and follow instructions. - Expected to extend product knowledge and expertise to the customers. - Must be able to prepare baked food product to Company standards. - Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients in merchandise. - Check product quality to ensure freshness.
