Job description

As the Controller, you will lead full-cycle accounting and financial close, ensuring accurate, timely reporting, strong controls, and compliance with ASPE, Canadian tax, and statutory requirements. This role delivers meaningful financial insights and management reporting that connect operational performance to strategic objectives. To excel in this role, you will develop people, modernize finance processes and systems, and use data and technology to drive insight. Location: 54 Morton Avenue East, Brantford, ON Dedicated Day Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday Financial Close, Reporting & Compliance: - Lead full-cycle accounting and own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with a focus on accuracy, predictability, and reduced close-cycle time. - Design and maintain standardized close procedures, clear ownership, and strong reconciliations. - Prepare financial statements in accordance with ASPE and company policy; coordinate year-end working papers and support external audit engagements. - Ensure compliance with Canadian tax and all statutory requirements, including HST/GST, payroll obligations, CRA remittances, and required filings in Canada and the United States.
