Job Title: Supervisor of Laboratory Operations Department: Laboratory - Chemistry Location: RRH Unity Hospital - 1555 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626 Hours Per Week: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts, 8a-4p SUMMARY: The Laboratory Supervisor supervises day-to-day operations including accuracy for patient results, instrumentation, quality and regulatory issues, procedures, and processes as appropriate. The Laboratory Supervisor also oversees Laboratory Medical Technologists and Support Staff as necessary and performs bench work as a Medical Technologist as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manages the day-to-day activities of the Laboratory Section - Technical Supervision: Oversee appropriate scheduling of Department staff and daily operations and workflow. Assure that Department procedures and instruments conform to good laboratory practice. Assure validity of patient test results.
