Job DetailsJob Location: Marietta, OH 45750Position Type: Flex TimeJob Shift: Varies as scheduledJob Category: Service Support In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the EMS Communications Center Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching the incoming and outgoing EMS traffic for the health system and ensuring continuous flow of patient information from pre-hospital to treating departments. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times. Job Functions: Directs incoming inter-hospital transport and scene/EMS calls received to appropriate resource expeditiously. Obtains and accurately documents clinical information from referring physicians, hospitals, special care facilities, EMS agencies and communicates this to appropriate Emergency services personnel. Facilitates coordination/medical control of private ground and air transports units and scene/EMS calls. Documents designated communications/events in written logs and computerized databases.
