EFFECTIVE DATE : 10/06/2025 FLSA: Non- Exempt JOB TITLE: GIS Specialist/Scheduling Analyst DEPARTMENT: Planning and Scheduling/Operations REPORTS TO: Director of Planning JOB FUNCTION: The purpose of this position is to perform intermediate and advanced scheduling tasks and to provide administrative support to the Manager of Scheduling. This is accomplished by inputting weekly changes, changing bus assignments, monitoring bus service ridership, updating route instructions, coordinating bus service for special events. Overseeing bus stop sign and shelter locations, agency mapping, and GIS data. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLILITIES: - Use ArcGIS and Remix to create maps of bus stops and bus amenities, current bus network, service proposals, demographics, and spatial analyses. Tracks storage of GIS shapefiles of MATA bus stops and routes, MATA service area census block groups and tracts, and other resources needed to map service proposals. - Coordinate bus stop and bus shelter placement based on the current Memphis Bus Stop Design & Accessibility Guidelines with installations, modification, and removals with Planning, Scheduling, Operations and Buildings & Grounds Department, and pr...
