Quality Engineer

Job description

As Quality Engineer, you ensure the highest quality products/rigid plastic containers are produced at the Garland site. You work closely with customers, suppliers and internal partners to develop & maintain quality processes, educate associates, resolve issues, and lead continuous improvement activities. You Will: - Define and implement performance metrics for processes, measure output, monitor performance, quality and compliance to processes and to business goals. - Collaborate cross-functionally to quality goals are met, such as rework and scrap reduction, as well as on time product delivery to customers. - Analyze statistical process control data to understand process variation, initiating corrective actions when necessary. In addition, lead change control protocols and follow-up to validate effective change implementation. - Investigate customer issues with product quality and lead the development of root cause analyses, design of experiments (DOE), or 8D programs to produce effective corrective actions. - Visit customer facilities to conduct health check meetings and maintain positive customer relationships. - Serve as site voice-to-suppliers for all quality issues. - Work wit...
